Within chapter 24 of the book of Matthew, Jesus is sat upon the mount of olives and his disciples asked him of the signs of the second coming.
Jesus replies that a number of events will occur before his second coming will take place. Some say that a number of these events have already come to pass in recent years, leading the way for 2012 The Second Coming to occur or begin in 2012.

Lets take a look over the scriptures of Matthew to see what Jesus has reported must happen as a sign of his return, the second coming.
Clearly, the first sign of the second coming of Jesus is great wars. Some believe that these are aleady taking place with increased western participation in numerous conflicts across the world. It is often suggested also that this may refer to a WW3 scenario sparked by anarchy after the approach of a comet planet becomes publically known.

Some theorists believe that the oncoming apocalypse will spark mass anarchy, resulting in a third world war. Nostradamus states "it will rain blood, milk, famine, war". In Matthew 24, Jesus is asked of the signs of his second coming. In verse 6, Jesus states "You will hear of wars and rumours of wars". Verse 7 then goes on to state "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom".
